By car
From Hamburg:
Leave the A7 motorway at the Bordesholm interchange and take the A210/215 to Kiel. Leave this motorway at the Kiel-Mitte exit and take the B76 towards Eckernförde. Leave this road at the Kronshagen-Nord exit and turn right into Eckernförder Straße. Turn left at the second traffic lights into Gutenbergstraße and, following the signs to “Zentrum”, drive straight on down Westring, Knooper Weg, Lehmberg and Holtenauer Straße before bearing right to Dreiecksplatz and then right into Bergstraße.

From Rendsburg:
Take the A20 and then the A215 before following the directions above.

From Eckernförde:
Turn off the B76 at the Kronshagen-Nord exit, left into the Eckernförder Straße and then follow the signs to “Zentrum” and the directions above.

From Lübeck:
Coming from the B404 bear left at the Barkauer interchange and take the B76 towards Eckernförde before exiting at Kronshagen-Nord and turning left into the Eckernförder Straße. Then follow the signs to “Zentrum” and the directions above.

From the Norway Terminal:
Turn right into Werftstraße following signs to “Zentrum”, right over the Gablenzbrücke and right again at the traffic lights into Sophienblatt, heading towards Central Station. Drive straight on at the Station into Andreas-Gayk-Straße before keeping left at the Berliner Platz roundabout and heading towards Martensdamm and Bergstraße.

Parking
WTSH has free parking for visitors. When you reach Lorentzendamm 24, simply drive to the courtyard where the barrier will open automatically. Please ask your contact person or the WTSH secretariat for a park chip so you can leave the car park.

By train
The following buses will take you straight from Kiel Central Station to the stop on Lorentzendamm in around six minutes: 11, 81, 91, 200, 201, 210, 501, 502, 701, 703, 900 and 901.

By plane  (The two nearest airports are Hamburg and Lübeck)
Hamburg Airport

Click here for timetables and fares. From Kiel Central Station you can take a 61, 62, 81, 82 or 91 bus to WTSH. The bus stops are right in front of the station and a single ticket costs about €2.30. Click here for the bus timetables. A taxi to WTSH (e.g. Minicar) costs about €5.

Lübeck Airport
Although more of a regional airport, Lübeck does offer favourably priced flights to and from London (Stanstead), Stockholm (Skavsta), Milan (Bergamo) and Barcelona (Girona) with Ryanair. Flight information is available from the Lübeck Airport website. The No. 6 bus will take you from the Airport to Lübeck bus/rail station in around 25 minutes. Click here for the timetable. A single ticket costs about €2.60.  Deutsche Bahn runs an hourly rail service from Lübeck to Kiel and the journey takes around 1½ hours. From Kiel Central Station you can take a 61, 62, 81, 82 or 91 bus to WTSH. The bus stops are right in front of the station and a single ticket costs about €2.30. Click here for the bus timetables. Take a 91, 501 or 502 bus straight from Kiel Airport to Lorentzendamm. The 501 0r 502 bus takes around 21 minutes, the 91 bus 35 minutes. By car or taxi it takes about a quarter of an hour.
